Redline vs abliteration.ai
abliteration.ai is a specialist: an inference API for its own abliterated models, aimed at the same red-team and T&S buyers as Redline. If you specifically want abliterated weights, it has them and Redline does not yet.
Facts checked September 2026 against abliteration.ai’s own site, docs and policies.
| Redline | abliteration.ai | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Hosted gateway reselling the OpenRouter catalogue at upstream price plus 15%. | A first-party inference API for its own abliterated open-weight models, with a built-in policy gateway. Not a router. |
| Pricing | Pay as you go, upstream price + 15%, $10 minimum top-up, no subscription. | Pay per token, with optional monthly plans ($20 to $200) for usage discounts; prepaid credits never expire; one-credit free preview. |
| OpenAI-compatible | Yes | Yes |
| Anthropic-compatible | Yes, /v1/messages (verified with Claude Code) | Yes, /v1/messages with a documented Claude Code setup |
| Uncensored / abliterated | 7 uncensored, 0 abliterated today (resold from OpenRouter) | Three abliterated models, including a 1M-context GLM-5.3 derivative, all first-party |
| Prompt retention | No prompt or completion stored; model, tokens and cost kept 90 days; signed prompt-hash receipt | Prompts and completions processed transiently, not stored by default; operational telemetry (token counts, timestamps) retained; never used for training |
| Per-key spend caps | Lifetime and monthly per-key caps, enforced by reserving the worst case and clamping max_tokens | Request/token quotas via a paid Policy Gateway add-on; a per-key USD cap is not verified |
Where abliteration.ai is the better choice
- It actually has abliterated models (Redline has 0 today), runs them first-party so a prompt reaches one company rather than a gateway plus OpenRouter plus a host, and offers a 1M-context GLM-5.3 derivative.
- Governance aimed at enterprise and red-team buyers: an Anthropic Messages API, web search, and a Policy Gateway with audit export to Splunk, Datadog, Elastic and S3.
Where Redline is different
- Breadth: Redline offers 440+ models from many labs versus three, and its best rate needs no monthly plan (abliteration.ai’s discounts need a $20 to $200/month plan).
- Redline has hard per-key dollar caps (lifetime and monthly, reserve-then-clamp) on its ordinary API; abliteration.ai’s quotas are request/token counts behind a paid Policy Gateway. Redline also returns a signed prompt-hash receipt.
